In a nutshell

This website aims to demystify generative AI in business by showcasing practical, real-world case studies.

It's a clear, accessible resource that separates the hype from the reality, helping you understand how companies are truly using generative AI to create value.

In more detail

I believe that the advent of AI will be one of the most transformative technologies of our generation. Personally, in my 15-year technology consulting career, I have never been as excited about a piece of tech as I am about current generative AI. However, it is important to realise that this technology is still in its infancy. Despite its rapid development since ChatGPT's release in November 2022, we must be mindful of the potential gap between current capabilities and widespread expectations. At times it almost feels like we are riding the hype curve.

This site was conceived as a response to this challenge. I wanted to create a reliable, clear, and grounded source of information on generative AI in business settings, helping to differentiate between actual technological advancements and mere speculations.

Here, you'll find a collection of real-life case studies of using generative AI technology. These cases, sourced from public internet content, illustrate how real companies are applying AI in business. I tried to filter out hypothetical or low-reliability use cases as much as possible.

I hope this site evolves into a valuable resource that offers an accurate assessment of value and pace of progress for AI, and I hope that you will find it useful.

How was this built

I had lots of fun building the initial version of this over Christmas 2023. The analytics pipeline, which generates case studies and trends, relies heavily on the ChatGPT API to screen, summarise, deduplicate, and score articles from the internet.

And of course, not being a web developer, I used ChatGPT to help me with HTML and JavaScript to produce this version of the website. I fully acknowledge its limitations and apologise for them in advance.
